Social Committee

Attending SSE can be drudging business at times. That is why the Social Committee exists – to alleviate the impact of menial school work and the dull grey hours spent looking for internships. We will aid you the best we can in turning your time at SSE into something amazing!

The Social Committe activities

At the Social Committe you can stimulate your creativity gene. If you are interested in  theatrical tragedies, the fine arts or classic literature you've found the right place. Join in on a wine-tasting with the Testing Tube, discuss with the Debate Society or why not sing and play instruments with the Music Society. You are welcome to be part of a fantastic committee and to realize your cultural awakening or fulfilment with us!

The Social Committee also works with questions regarding student welfare, health and equality, something we think is utterly important since we all study at an intense school. Stress, lack of motivation, sleep distortion and eating disorders are things we want to work against, which we do by arranging seminars and lectures in these subjects. We also try to distribute information about where and how students can come in contact with pshycologists, doctors etc.

Traditions flow through the Social Committe, and we arrange some festivities such as "Mårten Gås", "Norska Sittningen" and "Hwett & Etiquette" that have been arranged for many, many years. These festivities often have an amusing theme and are some of the highlights throughout the year!
