Business Committee

Welcome to the SASSE Business Committee – Näringslivsutskottet (NU)

For 30 years the Business Committee has acted as an intermediate between companies and SASSE members to ensure that each student is given the contacts and training necessary to get the job of their dreams. With 10 projects and 3 associations we are one of the largest committees of SASSE with about 100 active members. As you may realize there is something for everyone to engage in!

To narrow everything down you could say that The Business Committee mainly focuses on three areas:

Employment Branding
Helping companies to target SSE students for future employment is what the committee does the most. Through career fairs, a large amount of company presentations and social gatherings, we provide opportunities for SASSE members to get in contact with potential employers.

Student Career Services
All SSE Students help each other out, as does of course the Business Committee. We provide a student driven complement to the Career Services provided by SSE. Every year we arrange several events focusing on perfecting interviews, writing cover letters, CVs and arranging educational event for students to get a better understanding of different industries. With a broad network ranging from New York to Singapore we may provide contacts for SASSE members to use when they apply for internships and full-time jobs.

Social
The most important area, as in the whole of SASSE, is the social part. Through engaging in the Student Association and the Business Committee you will definitely get friends and experiences to remember your whole life. Our "party planners" Festeriet arranges several parties and social gatherings every year, such as NU-Kräftis (NU-Crayfishparty), Internhäcklingen (you will see), and the weekly reoccurring event Fredagsöl (Friday afterwork).

If you have any questions, want to take part in the Business Committee, start a new project, or maybe just come by for a cup of coffee, borrow a computer, microwave or take a relaxing powernap at our committee couch, you are very welcome to visit us! You will find us at Saltmätargatan at the same floor as the PC-labs.
