“Empowerment of Women in the Academic World”
Lynn Kamerlin, Associate Professor at the Uppsala University

Lecture will be held in ENGLISH.

The academic world is far from equal, and still, women only constitute a small share of the top positions within academia. But what can be done to prevent universities and institutions from neglecting female talent? Lynn Kamerlin, Associate Professor of Structural Biology, is deeply committed to empowering women in academia. This includes work with the YAE as well as a mentorship program for young female academics at Uppsala University, with the goal of both encouraging highly promising young female scientists to stay in academia, and guiding them to the best career decisions to facilitate this.
