Education: The extra election deciding the races for President of the Sports Committee and Speaker of the Student Council is now open. Each vote-entitled SASSE member should have received an email with a link to the new poll. The election is open for 48 hours and will close at noon Wednesday 10th December. The results will then be announced the day after, on Thursday. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Election Committee at valberedningen@sasse.se. This is your final chance to affect the direction of SASSE for the coming year, so make sure to cast your vote! -

Education: The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is proud to announce the first Carl Silfvén Scholarship available for students at the Stockholm School of Economics. The scholarship will finance one SSE student to work as Young Professionals Coordinatorat the office of SwedCham Hong Kong from September 2015 to August 2016. The successful applicant will get the opportunity to gain considerable knowledge of the Swedish business community in Hong Kong and Greater China as well as of the current business climate in Asia. -

Education: The election results are in! Please see the attached file to find out who will represent SASSE in the coming year. Please note that the positions of President of the Sports Committee and Speaker of the Council have not been filled as no candidate has achieved a majority of the votes. These positions will therefore be subject to a ranked selection re-election, with the same candidates running, which will open on Monday December 8th. -

Submitted by The Election Committee 2014-12-05Statement regarding re-election for the positions President of the Sports Committee and Speaker of the Council
Education: Because no candidate for either of these two positions have received a simple majority of the votes cast (excluding blank votes) the results for the position of President of the Sports Committee and Speaker of the Council have not be announced and there will be a re-election with the present candidates. To ensure that the situation is not repeated each voter will rank candidates in order of preference. If no candidate receives a simple majority (excluding blank votes) all candidates except the two leading candidates (three in case of a tie for second place) will be eliminated, and the first-hand votes cast for the eliminated candidates will be redistributed among the remaining candidates according to ranking order. This course of action is based on the Election Regulations and the SASSE Constitutional Rules, in consultation with the Statutory Rules Interpretation Committee. A new Qualtrics survey will be distributed by email on Monday 8 Dec at mid-day. The election will be open for 48 hours. Results will be published Thursday 11 Dec. The Election Committee urges everyone to participate in this new election.
