German Career Day - Managers needed

NU-logotype
The German Career Day project group is looking for students that want to plan, organize and exercise the new German Career Day in October

After having a French Career day, a London Banking & Career Week, we want to give German (Austrian & Swiss as well) companies also the chance to meet the fantastic SSE students.   It is planned to have the German Career Day and the Handels-Octoberfest at the same day in order to create a marvelous day. Therefore, we are looking for people who want to help realizing this project, in particular:

  • Sales Manager (2 people): The position includes recruiting companies and lead sponsors for the Career Day i.e. you should be persuasive, client-friendly and be able to convince companies to present themselves here at Handels. The main workload would be in April and May.
  • Marketing manager: You would be responsible for the entire marketing (campaign) of the German Career Day and you can bring in all your own thoughts and ideas. This might include ideas for the potential synergies between the German Career Day and the Octoberfest, if any. The workload is rather flexible throughout the next months.
  •  Event manager You are in charge of organizing the fair, guest lectures / panel debates, evening activities (banquet), hence the days operations. You work closely together with the whole project team in order to structure the day and to meet the companies' and project team's needs / ideas. Previous event management experiences are definitely a plus. The workload is split into the planning phase in the April / May and of course before the Career day itself in October.

Great initiative! Good luck! I know that Siemens Management Consulting was at Handels a few years ago, perhaps you can convince them to come back!
