WHAT IS AN OBJECT? Moderna Museet 16 JANUARY AT 5–7 PM Graham Harman is one of today’s most talked about theorists. His speculative realism, a philosophy that aims to accord a new status to the objects that surround us, has attracted a great deal of attention in the art world as well. On 16 January 2015 he will be holding a lecture about his object-oriented ideas in the Auditorium of Moderna Museet.  The lecture will be followed by Thirteen Questions about the Object : a question and answer session when Lars Strannegård, Daniel Birnbaum, Marcia Cavalcante, Jenny Lantz, Micael Dahlén, Sven-Olov Wallenstein and other participants from the Stockholm School of Economics and the worlds of art and philosophy will be asking questions about the role of the object in the spheres of aesthetics, society and the market. Thirteen Questions about the Object will take place in the Sculpture After Sculpture exhibition, which consists of thirteen thought-provoking objects.Post-discussion After Work in Moderna Bar.  The symposium is a collaboration between, Moderna Museet, the Stockholm School of Economics and SASSE Art Division.
