Changes to the Dagens Nyheter subscriptions
In a step towards a more digital future and as a consequence of the current economic climate in the newspaper industry as a whole, Dagens Nyheter has decided to discontinue their offering of free newspaper subscriptions for all SASSE members. An alternative deal has been negotiated where all members will have the opportunity to subscribe to the digital edition, including the DN+ application, at a heavily discounted cost of 200 SEK/year.
The change will come into effect on the 1st April, meaning that the last newspapers will be distributed on the 31st of March.
If you want to sign up for the digital edition, send an email with your registration number to karsek [at] sasse [dot] se. Make sure to label the email “DN Subscription” as the subject. You will then receive an email with details for the registration and payment.
The Student Association Board understands that there have been some issues during the past year with members who have not received their newspaper. As the offering now becomes limited to the online edition, these problems will hopefully not continue. We are happy that the longstanding cooperation between Dagens Nyheter and SASSE can continue for yet some time, despite the changes now taking place, and despite the adversity experienced by our partner and by the newspaper industry as a whole.
If you have any questions regarding the DN subscriptions, feel free to contact SASSE Vice President Markus Nyemad at vicepresident [at] sasse [dot] se.
