AD. Art Crawl's 2nd stop: Folkoperan

Art Division’s Art Crawl welcomes you to its second stop: Folkoperan! SSE students have been invited to a lecture and a guided tour held at Folkoperan’s facilities. Get a chance to learn more about what opportunities exists and how it is to work within the culture sector as an SSE student.

For those who are interested we will grab an after-art-beer afterwards at Folkbaren (same address)!

Meet producer Jonas Palerius and CFO Jan Alexandersson in an inspiring lecture about their work at Folkoperan. They will share their experiences concerning this major cultural organisation. Furthermore they will relate to economic conditions and what risks there are in the cultural sector. Apart from this you will also receive an insight about how production and economy interact – how conflicts can arise and how they are solved.

Folkoperan was founded in 1976 as an independent music and theatre group. Ever since, their vision has been to make opera something for everyone. Folkoperan is passionate about bringing opera to a wider audience irrespective of age, background or experience.
